Flash back memory - God the Creator lesson activity September 2019
There is now a dedicated RE and worship section on the home page on the website. If you can’t see it, try pressing ctrl and f5 for the page to refresh. https://altrinchamceprimaryschool.co.uk/topic/re-and-worship
The lessons are all available on the White Rose Maths website at www.whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/
Lesson 1 is part-whole relationships number bonds.
From next week White Rose maths will be changing what can be accessed free from home learning. Many of the resources they have been sharing previously came at a cost to schools. To remain fair to these schools they have opted to revert the worksheets to be available only to schools who have been paying the premium. The good news is that we have always been a premium paying school and all the resources will still be available. From next week worksheets will have to be downloaded from the schools website and not the White Rose website. White Rose have been experiencing unprecedented traffic on their website this week and have been having delays in getting all their resources available, please bear with us from next week as we try and download all the relevant worksheets and resources needed.
Task 1 – Spelling
This week’s spellings are words with the ‘air’ and ‘are’ spelling. Watch the PowerPoint and then complete the word search activity sheet.
Task 2 - Comprehension – This Friday marks the VE Day anniversary. You can learn more about what VE Day is and why it is important by reading through the power point. Complete the comprehension activity, remember to choose which chilli challenge you want to complete.
Task 3 – Writing – I am sure you will have heard about Captain Tom Moore, I know many of you have sent in photos of the beautiful birthday cards you have sent to him. He was made a Colonel on his birthday and the first part of your writing task is to design a medal. Alongside the medal you are to write a thank you letter to Colonel Tom.
Task 4 – phonics
This weeks phonics focus is the phoneme /air/ spelt with the vowel trigraphs 'air' and 'are'.
Don’t forget you can keep practising your phonics using the espresso site. This week’s spelling pattern 'air' and 'are' activities can be found here https://central.espresso.co.uk/espresso/primary_uk/subject/module/frontscreen/item63425/grade1/index.html
This week you will be learning about the life cycle of a flower. Read through the powerpoint and then you can work through the activities.
