Vision & Values

Our School Vision is inspired by this bible verse:

Matt 13: 8, The Message

'What do you make of this? A farmer planted seed. As he scattered the seed, some of it fell on the road, and birds ate it. Some fell in the gravel; it sprouted quickly but didn’t put down roots, so when the sun came up it withered just as quickly. Some fell in the weeds; as it came up, it was strangled by the weeds. Some fell on good earth, and produced a harvest beyond his wildest dreams.'

Vision: At Altrincham CE Primary, we are rooted in the love of Christ, nurturing each pupil’s unique gifts and potential. Together, we grow strong in faith and character, bearing fruit in our community as we learn, support one another, and blossom into the best version of ourselves. #Growstrongandbearfruit

Our School Values:

We live every day with four core values at the centre of all that we do:

1 Thessalonians 5:18 ‘Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God’

Gratitude – Sensitivity – Joy - Stewardship

We believe that God has made us in his image to be happy, and live life in all its fullness. For that, we are thankful. We also show gratitude and appreciation for those people around us who make a difference, and for the many gifts and blessings that we have, no matter how small.

Joshua 1:9 ‘Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, for the Lord your God is with you’

Perseverance – Resilience – Selflessness - Generosity

Sometimes life’s challenges require resilience and perseverance. Jesus told us not to be afraid: “Take courage, I am here” (Matt 14:27). We have to be brave to face up to challenges and demand the best of ourselves, so that we can achieve our goals and support those of others. We try to be courageous advocates for those who are disadvantaged or do not have a voice that is heard.

Acts 2:42 ‘They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching to fellowship [Koinonia], to the breaking of bread and to prayer’

Friendship – Collaboration – Effort – Empathy - Care

Koinonia is a Greek word which can be translated as “fellowship”, or a sense of joint enterprise and collaboration. It is how we live out Jesus’s commandment to “Love one another”. At school, this is seen in our friendships and in the way that we work together. It might be in a sports team, in a learning partnership or being a buddy to someone who is new school – you will see examples of it in every part of our school, from children and grown-ups.

1 Peter 2:17 ‘Treat everyone you meet with dignity. Love your spiritual family’

Respect – Kindness – Courtesy – Gentleness - Compassion

We respect everybody’s dignity. This means that each individual is valued and celebrated for who they are, regardless of age, race, gender, culture or any of the characteristics that define us as unique human beings, created and loved by God.
