Encouraging Learning with Suppport
Besides offering support and advice to parents through parent / staff workshops, and on a one-to-one basis, the school also seeks to offer all parents advice and strategies to support their children’s learning through various parents’ support meetings. The meetings are usually held in the school hall for some year groups, throughout the school year.
Some working parents / guardians sometimes find it difficult to attend some or all the meetings. The school has published a number of supporting working parent handbooks. For example:
– How to help with reading
– How to help with phonics
– How to help with maths
The list of parent help topics will grow as the support for this particular group of parents develops further.
If you have any further questions or suggestions for topics not covered, you can share you enquiry with the school.
