What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium was introduced by the Government in April 2011. It is a grant designed to provide additional funds to support schools in raising the attainment of disadvantaged children.
It has been identified nationally that these children under-perform in comparison with children from less disadvantaged backgrounds. The purpose of the Pupil Premium is to help schools to provide targeted support for these children.
Schools must decide for themselves how the funding can be most effectively used. Schools are accountable for how the money is being spent and required to publish this information, along with the impact it is having on pupil achievement, online each year.
To work in partnership with parents and churches, to nurture children in the Christian faith, and to provide them with the best possible educational opportunities.
