This term in Lilac class our topic is called Munch and Crunch!

Our first topic of the year is called Munch and Crunch.  We will be learning about healthy, balanced diets for ourselves and also about the diets of different animals. We find out about teeth and how to look after them and we read some funny poems about them, too,  We look forward to reading some fantastic stories, including “The Incredible Book Eating Boy”, which will inspire us to write as well
Our Harvest celebration takes place this term, so of course we celebrate together as a church school, as we learn about the Christian concept of Creation.
PE lessons will be on Wednesdays and Fridays, outdoors as long as the weather allows.
Spellings are checked on Tuesdays, when new spelling lists are given for the following week. Please make sure spelling books are always in school on Tuesdays.  Reading books should be in school every day please.  Your child’s record book has a note inside the cover explaining when books are changed.
